Descriptif

Extending the Supply Chain Management knowledge to the digital tools and incoming paradigms. Notably, this module will be focused on ERP systems (with an application through SAP) and on the emerging concepts of "Collaborative Netrworks" and "Physical Internet". 

Objectifs pédagogiques

Course 8.1 : Distribution, Transportation & Physical Internet

  • Know the fundamentals of distribution, warehousing and transportation systems (assets, business processes, etc.)
  • Discover the Physical Internet paradigms and associated technologies
  • Design a Physical Internet approach for a dedicated use case

Course 8.2 : Collaborative Networks

  • Understand the concepts of Virtual Enterprises and Collaborative Networks
  • Be able to think dynamically about Supply Chain networks
  • Understand the Information Systems dimension of Supply Chains

Course 8.3 : Information Systems and ERP

  • Understand the various steps for a supply chain creation and basic principles for information management all along it
  • Understand the 2 major ways for managing a supply chain, having a basic knowledge on the information systems used in both cases
  • Have a first level practice on ERP for Supply Chain Management (SAP ECC)
  • Have a prospective view on the changes induced by the Industry 4.0 paradigm on Supply Chains

  • Learning the concepts of transportation and warehousing within a classical approach
  • Discovering the Physical Internet paradigm and the hyperconnected supply chain management
  • Applying it to a specific and a realistic use case

Course 8.2 : Collaborative Networks

  • Learning about Collaborative Network and Virtual Enterprise
  • Applying it onto a specific use case

Course 8.3 : Information Systems and ERP

  • Learning how an ERP runs and applying this on a real ERP system (SAP)
  • Studying the digital supply chain tools and technologies through a bibliographical study
