Descriptif

This module includes the following courses:

  • Flue gas cleaning
  • Synthetic gas (syngas) cleaning and upgrading
  • Fuel cells: Principles and Theory
  • Biogas cleaning and upgrading

Objectifs pédagogiques

Objectif pédagogique:

For each category among flue gas, syngas and biogas, the students will learn about their production or generation, their composition and properties and technologies for their treatment, transformation and valorization.
After these courses, the expected learning outcomes are as follows:

  • The students understand the content of the courses.
  • The students can analyze and distinguish different steps of each operation among: gas treatment or cleaning; gas transformation; gas upgrading; gas valorization.
  • The students can explain and interpret a technical scheme of a given operation.
  • The students can select and design a process of gas treatment, cleaning, transformation or valorization.

    • Flue gas cleaning: 15 h face-to-face
    • Synthetic gas (syngas) cleaning and upgrading: 16,5 h face-to-face
    • Fuel cells: Principles and Theory: 3 h face-to-face and 3 h of practical work
    • Biogas cleaning and upgrading: 15 h face-to-face
    • The evaluation will be performed by a writing exam which covers the content of the course
